i see a future, a future big and bright
i see a future, where there is no day or night
the sky glows green and it looks so keen
but the fallout melts your eyes
at first it was great
but we sealed our fate
that the end's so late
is the one surprise
their fingers are on the buttons
the barrels are rusting
the silos are cracking
and the plants are downright old
get ready for giant ants and lizards
because that day will surely come
we've poisoned our earth a million times over
and it can't be undone
a power so great,
used with such reckless abandon
hiroshima should have been warning enough
now that the cold war is over
it just leaves the public's mind?
how can they forget
that the world's a nuclear bomb
just running out of time
it's just a matter of time
before the sky falls
those who burn will be the lucky ones
who won't have to wait for death
a death so slow, writhing, withering in cancerous pain
mother nature was perfect
but we had to screw her up
we had to create a nuclear future
