they stuck in her throat. the words that she whispered. and lies fill the room. and reside in her eyes. he felt like a dog. and he chuckled through tears. and he told her his love was as real. as her lies. she asked in a quiet. dispassionate way. if he cried to himself much. when he was alone. and this hung for a moment. suspended in air. like a feather that suddenly dropped. like a stone. everything rings with truth and amazement. and every voice sings its particular praise. i am frail. and gone over the rail. how many times she said she'd never go. how many lies she's lied we'll never know. she's young and she's lonely. her bedroom is dark. and the friends that she knew once. have all moved away. the shadows surround her. and swallow her whole. like a blanket they've come. to extinguish the day
