left my worries back in my room. took the red-eye to the moon. saw a man there looked just like me. bathing on the shores of tranquillity. saw a plane slide into the bay. fought the urge back to run away. saved a woman looked just like me. saved a groom and a bride to be. saved an old man saved his cane. saved a senator saved his aide. took a trip in a boat that was carved. from a woman's shoe. spent a night in a house on the banks of the sea. wonder how i can breathe in a place. where the sky ain't blue. wonder who in this world gonna recognize me. who indeed
